Maple with a very little burl. 9" tall to top of the crown, and 4" wide at the widest. Wanted something really different on the top of this, so this is what i came up with this time. Thanks as always.
Thanks all. Jim just used a dremel with a very small carbide bur bit, and a flex shaft. Carol glad you pointed that swap out to me, as i'm signed up now.
Oooh la la! You keep outdoing yourself Stephen. Really lovely overall, both in form and execution. I think that the marble and stone feel you've achieved there goes really well with the form and the contrasting colors work really well together imho. I'll stop because I think I'm gushing a little.
Stephen, I always seem to react the same way when I see your work. It never seems to be "woodworking" or even "woodturnings". They always strike me as works of art. Very well done. Impressive.
