    Walnut Bowl

The temps have been low here in Iowa so I got some shop time without sweating like a pig. This bowl is just over 8" in diameter and about 4" high. Finish is my home-brew danish oil. The sap wood has a bit of spalt to it and really contrasts with the heart wood. I have a bunch more of this walnut...hopefully it looks just a nice!

Wow, that's a pretty piece of walnut, and a very nice bowl I might add. Well done Jeff.

I love that purple hue walnut sometimes tarts out with. It always fades to browns on me, but its nice to enjoy while its there

Nice job n the layout you captured the tree quite well.
