    interesting halftone picture software

while contemplating the fun i was having with photovcarve, i came across some videos of cnc machines making halftone pics. there were a pair of programs that caught my eye, and the one i preferred was one called halftoner, found at www.jasondorie.com. haven't tried it out on the cnc, but the previews look pretty darned good.

I have Halftoner downloaded and ready to try as soon as I get caught up. :-) It does look like a neat program so I'm going to sure give it a try! There's a guy on PlasmaSpider (and also the PlasmaCam owner's forum) that has been using it and it makes some very nice jobs!

I looked at Halftoner before I built my CNC and thought it and Reactor might be something to use down the road. Now that I have PVC, I have no use for Halftoner.

Pretty cool, will have to give it a try when I get the spindle mounted back on, may give it a try with the laser too though.

    Dan,

In case you don't catch it on your PVC thread, here is the result of running your PVC gcode on my SO2 today.
