    This tree fell at the end of the block.
    DW guarded the downed tree until the city arrived. She talked the lead sawyer into cutting the trunk into "turnable" pieces. She is a "wood junkie" too!

    After appropriate seasoning and spalting it ended up on the lathe and it turning into a calabash (still in progress). I am using Pentacryl to stabilize it. So far it is still running true.
