15" Cottonwood Bowl

Finished this one up today. Have a few more to do, but hey! It's a start. This one is 15" diameter, 4 3/4" high, and 3 3/4" deep. As I usually do it was sealed with walnut oil and then given several coats of a walnut oil/shellac mixture. It's going to make someone a nice big salad bowl or popcorn bowl, or for that matter even a bowl for serving veggies or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Thought I was gonna say M&M's, didn't ya? Anyway, hope you all like it.

That's a pretty piece of wood....and a lot of peanut butter cups!

I don't think I would have the nerve to put buttered popcorn in beautiful bowls like these. M&Ms yes.

The shape, the spalting and the wood color all go together just like they belong there.

Thanks, everybody! Appreciate the comments. It's alright Jim. Put buttered popcorn in them. I do. They hand wash up real nice. I use some smaller ones in the house. I have to turn myself replacements because friends and family are always talking me out of them. Guess I need to start hiding them when someone comes over.
