    house warming gift.

A friend at work and his wife just bought there first house. Well as i had this bowl laying around unfinished. Thought it would be a nice jester to finish it and give it to them. Just a little simple 7" x 3" bowl, so made a lid, and made a knob. Added a silver maple leaf ( drew and colored) to the top of the holly knob and finished it with just lacquer.Click image for larger version.

The knob is a nice little work of art in and of itself.

What kind of wood is the bowl made from? The figure sure popped out nice on it!

That is nice. It has lines and color to fit into their world 100 years from now. What a gift.

I am with Ryan on the silver maple. (Two of my houses had silver maples in the front yard. I really like the tree.)

    Enjoy,
