Digging through a stash looking for some cherry I found these. I'd forgotten I had them. They are maple and I'm planning on using them in a Krenov style cabinet for the doors.
Did a little work on one of the panels getting it flat. It ended up at 5/8, it had some pretty good twist in it. I'm thinking about leaving the wavy natural edge on both panels. I splashed a little DNA on it to pop the grain.
Got a little work in of the doors. They are dry fit and everything looks good. My plan was to make the doors and then build the cabinet to fit the doors.
Beautiful work, John. This is not a criticism, but rather a design musing. I wonder if the wood would showcase better if the frame bits were a little narrower. I love the picture in your original post where you get the full impact of the book match.
