Interesting, but it's a shame to see nice hunks of wood becoming that much dust and chips.

Not a big fan of bowl turning are you? I do like the coring systems myself also.

I actually preferred the tub with the scallops on it instead of smooth sided.

They were pretty conservative in the way they did the glue up.

    That is my NEXT machine.

Now that's a monster machine. I wonder how well something like that holds up over time? I'm sure they must put some kind of hi-tech encapsulating coating on it. Gorgeous.

Cool video. From time to time people post photos of wooden bathtubs on my Facebook timeline. I'll have to remember this video so I can post it to show others how tubs like this are made.

Wow that is some machine they have there, must charge a bit for a tub like that to cover the costs :O

Did anyone else notice that they seemed to make a lay up mistake, looks like they were missing a bit of wood, but maybe they are going to shape that end of the tub?

    Cheers!

Even though I am not much on machines like that, I have to admit it is impressive. I'd be proud to make soap suds in a tub like that.

They say that bathtub gin was poison... if they used a walnut tub, can see why... I've read somewhere that there's arsenic in walnut.
