I was busy all day Friday so I didn't have a chance to peek at the forum, but tonight (er...early Saturday morning) I don't see a Friday thread. Ah well, no time like the present, huh?

This weekend will be a busy one here. My sister and I will continue going through my dad's things and taking care of what needs to be taken care of. My dad had his affairs in good order so things have been pretty straightforward, but there are still a lot of things to do. I got the obituary written today, and have until Tuesday to write the eulogy. My sister is gathering photos and working on lots of other planning tasks. We have family members arriving from out of town later in the weekend, so we're trying to get as much as possible done before the hoard arrives.

Saturday morning I'll be out at the range with my shooting club. I predict we will once again win and many paper bad guys will die before the morning's over. :D

Saturday evening I have a band rehearsal with a Classic Rock band I joined recently. It's our last practice session before a show at a local casino next weekend. I've only had a few rehearsals and one show with these guys. I'm still trying to remember 35 songs, lol.

So...what's on your plate this weekend?

I'll probably spend today tearing down the lathe - again - and see why the e-ring keeper keeps jumping out of the slot... was working on a small walnut bowl yesterday and heard a rattle, before I could reach the switch, the lathe locked and came to a screeching halt... the keeper had jumped off and let the pulley slip against the housing.... and it's a new spindle too...:(

Also sometime this weekend, will need to shampoo the carpet in the bedroom... we have a little Silky Terror that has decided it's too cold to go outside to pee... the bedroom seems like a good place :(:(:(:(

Well, on Friday I worked on a small table to hold an addition to my Q Station. Also cut three desk name plates on my CNC.

Today (Sat.) I'm doing a couple more desk name plates and a little shop cleaning.

Sunday will be mostly a day of rest.

Dave wins.

Definitely. :thumb:

Dealt with a bit of winter here today. We had about 8 inches of heavy, wet snow last night, knocked the power out for about 10 hours. I had to break out the camp stove to get the coffee going this morning! Snow was borderline too dense and heavy for the blower, but we got it done.
Had some sheep visitors this afternoon, some new friends from Lunenburg County looking to start a small flock. Nice folks, woodworkers and blacksmiths too! What could be better?

Friday night was a holiday party (usually about a month after them since everyone can make it), today was sweet, sweet shop time. Tomorrow I've got a bunch of chores to get done, but may try to fit in some brew time.
