I need to replace the battery in my Dewalt drill. Last ones I bought on e-bay....worked out fine. I don't do much heavy work so my drill is only a 9.6v drill. Its been plenty for my needs. Looking again on e-bay I can get 2 (2000AH) Ni-CD batteries for about $35 or 1 (3000AH) NiMH for about $20. I've always bought Ni-cd batteries before. Which battery type do you prefer? Ni-Cd or NiMh?

I replaced my Dewalt Ni-Cads with NiMh. True enough, the charger may not fully charge the NiMh batteries, but it didnt' seem to matter to mine (this was the 12V model). I got more run time and a good life out of the NiMh, longer than any of the NiCads until the drill died. What finally did in that drill was a fall from an 8' step ladder, I wound up giving the batteries and charger away on a woodworking forum.

My experience with NiMH batteries was not good---- stay with NiCad-----Someday move to lithium powered tool--You will be amazed.
