Star Wars Storm Troopers ..reality ..... see what Boston Dynamics have now

On BBC news this morning they showed this video as the next thing from the Boston Dynamics Stable..... this is a Google owned company that was developing that " robot donkey" targeted at the Military. By comparison that is small potatoes when you see this.

To me the most amazing part comes near end of video when they smash the robot to the ground with a huge pole and it gets up.

Where this is going to go is anyone's guess some pretty incredible tech. One thing for sure send a robot like this in to defuse a bomb and it can be blown up with nobody shedding a tear or not coming home.

    cheers

    Just to clarify the mythology.

Technically storm troopers were human clones (or at least humanoid, given that it was "long time ago in a galaxy far far away" I would suspect convergent evolution).

This is more like terminator or the cylons from battlestar galactica.

    Combined with things like:

    and .. yep.

Darren I was initially wondering about the dude and thought ahh someone making a video on a video to get ratings and income. But man he deserves it I nearly died laughing.

Amazing how we humans react....love the part about " cyber bullying"... Lol

Surprised one of the makers didn't give him fingers and a program to use them.
I expected when the robot left in the second video, to hear, Take this job and shove it.
