$99 3D scanner CNC guys take note

Yeah there is one setback though you got to be able to print your own plastic parts so one needs a 3D printer in the first place. Though I guess there is someone out there that is probably selling 3D printed parts for it.

Still something like this could be cool especially if one had a 3D printer to reproduce the item you scanned.
Imagine making a series of scans of something that is growing and then printing the 3d model of each stage.

I would have loved to scan my sons foot as a baby then toddler and so forth till the size 13.5 foot of today. Not much use to it but could make a fun evolution series. Lol
