    I think it might be butternut?

    I did a little milling today with Lucas. It was a small crotch section of what I think is butternut. It didn't have much feather figure, but we did got three nice slabs. It has the same color as fresh cut osage, but not near as hard. I let Luke have a go with the chainsaw.

    Probably not Butternut-way too yellow. Could be Mulberry which is very yellow when freshly cut and not very hard.

    I thought it looked kinda yellow for butternut too, but it could be just the light and the tint the camera added. Butternut is very light and very soft relative to most hardwoods.
