    I think I have sleep ap-near-a

It's 1 pm on a Sunday, I slept in until after 8:30 this morning and every time I get "near a" place that might be comfortable for a while, I get sleepy. Even the floor looks comfy right now if the dog wouldn't try to lick my face when I'm down there.

oh well, best get up and move around some... think it's time to mow the yard.

My parents taught me to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder to find any.

Yep! Fresh cut grass always calls for a little snoozing. Chuck, my dog Rosco wakes me up every morning about 6am with a slurp. I open my eyes and there he is, staring at me telling me it's time to go outside. I don't need an alarm clock when I have him. Every great once in a while he lets me sleep in until about 6:45am. Such a dog! Wouldn't want him to be any other way, though.

Everyone with a dog knows as soon as you lie down on the floor it's "open season" for playing and face licking

Absolutely!!! My Rosco will do that big time. He has a hard time controlling his licker.
