    Big John's New Power

FedEx Freight came by today. From his truck to mine and then off to the maker's lab.

Coming off the truck. Love having the right tools for the job!

Nice looking motor, but it's the wrong color.

Red and green make for Christmas, Darren.

Two things. This is like Christmas in April for me, and I think it was you who recently pointed how many days left until the December Christmas.

This particular motor is the recommended replacement motor for this 40 year old tractor. Kohler does not make the original motor any longer and most folks agree that that motor was a poor design for this tractor. Rebuilding it was way more expensive than replacing it. Not to mention, this one has electronic ignition and is more efficient. And it is 4 horsepower bigger in a slightly smaller package. That is good for essential cooling, which was a problem for the Kohler motor.
