    computer desk project

    marked and cut the parts for the top of the computer desk.

    kept right on planing today. the boards for the top and the monitor stand turned out quite a bit better than i expected. lots of ray flaking, and good grain, but there is figuring as well.

    back at it again today. got the leg, and apron parts planed, and the legs glued up. mortises and tenons tomorrow.

    Looks like some good lumber going to need a desk or two at the new place, so i will be watching..

    got the legs trued up, cut the mortises and tenons, and did a test fit. plopped the top on it for the fun of it. another one out of the way, except for sanding and finishing.

    Is it too late to put a taper on the legs? It'd look a bit less 'blocky' with a small taper on two sides of the legs.

    But that's just my opinion...
