In case the lights go out in Georgia??

This is one I've made to exhibit in our local art guild spring art show... last time I exhibited lamps, wound up selling 2 or 3 after the show... hoping to again... This one is Spalted Maple, 5 1/2" diameter by 7 1/2" high. With the burner and chimney in place the overall height is just under 15 inches... The glass font is embedded in the wood and the maple sawdust band was used to conceal the joint where the two pieces came together... I usually try to hide the joint, but cut a little deep on this one and exposed the glass again, thus the sawdust/CA band.

Chuck, I can see why you are able to sell those. Nice. Very nice. Even though the joint shows, which would think would be difficult to totally conceal, that is some very nice work! :thumb:
