    Bar cabinets doors

    I building some bar cabinets and a 580 gallon aquarium stand outer panels. These are the doors for the bar so far black walnut frames and maple center panels. The cabinet frames are maple also with clear poly sprayed with 3 coats of Minwax oil modified satin. The panels for the aquarium is going to be the same. Click image for larger version.

    Looking good. I've never mixed walnut and maple (except in cutting boards), but have done a lot of cherry & maple.

    Makes a nice contrast!

    I thought I try something different and I think it came out looking sharp. I guess you never know until you try . My customer was very happy with the look.

    Is that maple verneer or qtr sawn maple?? Looks very tight grained to me. Nice mix though.

    The doors look great.

    You have a 580 gallon aquarium? That is massive.

    Salt water?

    Would love to see that.

    The panels are 1/4" veneer plywood . I have a customer that has a 580 Gallon salt water reef tank. I'm building bar cabinets and the side panels for the steel stand and canopy . It will match the bar cabinets. I will post some pictures when done.
