    drunken cutting board project

well, since the drunken cheese boards worked out so good, i decided to try one a bit bigger. they both are 12 x 16 inches, and are walnut and ash. one will be going to another of my nephews as a housewarming present.

well, i was wrong about the sizes. actually the finished boards are 10 1/2" x 17 1/2". with my dad's friend from across the street watching (he wanted to see how it is done), made the second cuts. then to show him the magic, did a quick dry fitting. he was quite amazed at how nicely they came out. then did the final glue up, and after a bit, a quick ride on the planer, then the jointer and table saw to trim up the edges. now they are ready to be sanded and oiled.

These are great, Dan. Very fun look, and a lot of "how'd he do that?" factor. What are you cutting the curves with? Bandsaw? Scroll saw? Jigsaw?
