    another cleaning Job

working on a curio cabinet cleaning. It's sort of the common generic curio cabinet but a lot of people like them. The original finish is still intact. I'm just removing the air dirt that settles into the finish during the hot weather when the finish is soft. Then is trapped during the cold months and repeated year after year and get darker and darker.

My mom and dad had a cabinet very much like that one.

What do you use to clean a finish like that?

Wow Dave i never realized how much dirt could collect and stick. What would the original finish have been on a cabinet like that.
My parents also had one just like that loaded with porcelain bits and pieces.
    cheers

Rob original finish shellac. The pick of the clean section is the original finish. I'm just removing on the outter layer.
