The doctor seems pleased with the progress of the wound. It looks to me like something you might see in a deli, but I guess that's OK. The X-rays show no sign of further infection, and the fourth toe looks good, so it can probably stay. All in all, it looks like this might be over by the fall.

Glad to hear all is working out now... never had much problems with my feet other than a cramp now and then when I've been on
them for too long. Worst I can think of is, I've dropped heavy weights on my left big toe twice in my life and lost the toenail both time, then a couple of years ago, I slipped off the hill right behind the house and my foot went under the lawn mower and took off half the nail on that same toe... counting the original in the womb and the 3 replacements, I've grown 4 toenails on that one big toe.
