Finished this one up today and it is going to the fall fair inventory. Then again, I might just keep it and use it as a big popcorn bowl. I had some until a while back. A friend came by, saw them, and begged me to sell them to her. Weird but it happened and I was dumb and sold them to her. The diameter is 14 3/4" with a sidewall height of 4 1/4" and a depth of about 3 1/2". The volume measured at 1 1/4 gallons. This wood was kinda cantankerous as it had some pithy spots on it. Took some doing but got it sanded pretty smooth all over. Left a few little defects here and there for the rustic appeal. As per my usual I sealed the wood with walnut oil and then finished it with several coats of a walnut oil/shellac mixture. Not sure how many coats it got cuz I just kept putting in on while it was spinning until there was some drag on the brush. Later buffed it. Hopes you like it. :D
