Luke has become an entrepreneur

Well I think Lucas has finally figured out he can make a little spending money woodworking. He came home today and told me he needed to cut out four shapes of Tennessee. I've made a few and have a pattern already cut. I asked why and he said he sold them at school. The art teacher knows I do a little woodworking and she asked him if I could cut her out three that she was going to make into signs. I think she's painting them and selling them. He told her he could do it and would for 10.00 each. He said later in the day a girl asked if he could make her one and he told her 20.00. He made them this afternoon. I showed him how to use the planer and generally assisted if he needed help. It took probably an hour to get them done. We used some maple that we cut last spring that had some spalt.

Luke is an enterprising young man. That's great! Even has the quantity or wholesale thing figgered out. He's definitely going to be successful in my opinion. You should be very proud of him.

Well counting the four that Lucas made the other day he's up to 12 orders! He made three Tennessee's and a Georgia today.
