Some of you have already seen this on Facebook, but for those who haven't, Monday evening as I was getting off work, I tripped on a parking curb in a dark parking lot and fell hard on the pavement. Fortunately, my face and boyish good looks were spared. Unfortunately, I took the full force of the fall on my left elbow. It's never a good thing when the Urgent Care doc walks into the exam room with a scrunched-up look on her face after looking at your x-rays. Turns out I broke it pretty badly. I'll know more after seeing the orthopedic specialist Wednesday, but the Urgent Care doc (who's also an orthopedist) said she suspects surgery is in my future. Looks like my guitar playing will be out of commission for a while, and getting the shop put back together is also on indefinite hold.
Here's how it looked Monday night:
And here's what the Urgent Care doc saw Tuesday. (The lower bone is supposed to be one piece):
Nothing that time and healing can't fix, though. I've recovered from worse.
