I found the models for some 9mm rounds on thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:56142) the other day, decided to print a few to use for testing out pistols after working on them.

I only did a 30% fill on these since I wanted to test them first. All but one cycled just fine, it got stuck and ripped the head side off of it, so will file and size the new ones when I print them to 100%

and at 100% the firing pin shouldn't punch a hole in them.

Cool stuff, Darren. :thumb: Is there a way to build hybrid plastic/metal pieces, where molten filament is placed on and around a metal part?

You can definitely pause a print and insert things, then have the print continue. I'm pretty sure the slicing software can even set a programmatic pause, but not 100% on that.

I saw one guy who packaged up christmas presents in printed 'boxes'
