Dont think these youngsters will be without work one day.

I know a few here have weather stations and 3D printers, take a look at what a couple of school going guys put together.

Warms the cockles of my heart to see next gen doing this kind of thing.

Think its very cool ........note the 3D printed rain bucket and if one considers Brents coffee bean grinder extension, they could have printed many more parts for it.

Always wanted to make my own even though i have a nice Davis Weather station. Something about ones own creations thats way more exciting. ;)

Note they even routed the edge of the block of wood for their base.
 
That is cool stuff for sure. What's really cool is how you could have it all on one board, serving up everything to the web. I've got an admittedly smallish computer running linux devoted to putting my weather site up on the web. I'm seriously considering replacing it with a pi 3 to reduce the power and foot print rewuired to do so. The only thing that stops me is that I'd have to rewrite a bunch of code.
