Hot Bed Connector Issue

So, Was running a print today when I got a 'Thermal Runaway' error. After a little bit of looking at things, it became obvious I was having an issue with the connector on the hotbed.

I jiggled it and the hot bed led came on. Looking at the plastic connector you could see that it was generating a bit of heat as the red wire has toasted the plastic just a bit.

So, I took the bed off, took the power wires out of the connector and then soldered those wires directly to the hotbed. I left the thermistor wires in the connector as they really aren't causing any issue.

I also had some cork gasket material laying around, so I hit it with some spray adhesive and put it on the bottom of the bed to add some insulation.

Can't prove anything, but I feel like the hot bed heats up a little faster now.

Glad it didn't cause a major issue, nice fix. I'll have to look to see if I have any cork around still. I do have some that is rubberized, but thinking it may smell when heated up. ;)
