Working on building my inventory for the farmer's market that starts first weekend in May... Turned these new Pepper mills... all are crush grind, finished in two coats of Old Master's sanding sealer, then 3 coats of Minwax wipe on poly in gloss, then buffed with tripoli and carnuba wax. These will all need inserts put in... I got these 10 finished and realized I only have 6 grinder inserts...
These two are Cherry and about 9 inches tall

A wormy and slightly spalted Pecan about 9 inches tall

Spalted silver maple -- not much black line in this, silver maple seems to just darken and turn a nice golden brown... a little punk in this but the finish covers it well. Also about 9 inches tall

A walnut mill.... I need to re-work this one a little -- I think it's top heavy with the top being too big... opinions?

These three are all Spectraply... patterns are Nutmeg (browns), Autumn, (Reds and browns), and Coffee (Charcoal and browns) these are all about 10 inches tall.

The last two are blanks I made up ... I sandwiched Spectraply Tigerwood between 2 Cocobolo boards for one, then for the other used two slabs of the Spectraply tigerwood with a Cocobolo board between and cut at a slight angle. They are about 9 inches tall also.

Looking good, Chuck. :thumb: Those should go quickly come May. I do agree with you that the walnut one looks top-heavy. I'm sure you know how to remedy that situation, lol. :D

Couldn't stand the top heavy look of the walnut mill, so took it back to the shop and reduced the head some... looks better to me.
