I drew this up the other day and printed it for my 4K wifi action camera. When shooting iron sites at the range I usually take a spotting scope with me, but it's kind of a pain to get up ever few shots to check my groupings. My new 4K action camera (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N751MXZ) has built in wifi and I can connect to it via my phone or tablet to view what it sees without having to leave my shooting position. I can even snap photos between shots to see how each placed.

This telephone post is about 250' from my shop, I had to used the optical zoom to get close up, but should be good for 100 yards.

I posted the sketchup and stl files on thingiverse if anyone is interested, if using PLA, you'll need to use some Loctite Super Ultra Gel glue to glue the two parts together.

Scope cams have been very popular with the airgun community for a couple of years now. Eaglevision got on board early by developing a mounting system that seems to work well. Ted's HoldOver, on YouTube has some videos showing how the scope cams work.

There are others ($$$) that do the job also, like: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...tp_o_de_gs90_100_deadeye_gunscope_90_100.html

This looked like an interesting 3DE printed one and I'm wondering if it's not a predecessor to the pricey one.

I tested out the scope on the shed across the street, it's about 425' from my shop. I'm pretty happy with the new lens and it should work great at 100 yards.

I'll be trying out some other software apps for the android tablet. I found the camera streams over the RTSP protocol so should be able to use any app that supports wifi cameras. I may try writing my own, but will see what I can find first.

I finally got out to the range to put this into practice. I forgot to load the software on my tablet, but at least had it on my phone. I had to disconnect and reconnect the wifi after each cease fire, but the wifi was supposed to be only for about 30 yards, so that was expected. The little table top tripod I bought was a bit flimsy, so spent some time getting it to lock down on target , but once on it stayed there. Sure made it nice not having to get up between shots, the view was actually quite clear at 100 yards.

Here are two different frames, but the camera battery died about half way through the second one, but it's an example of using the digital zoom and without, also was using the iron sights, no scope.

BTW, this was using the Chinese Type 53 I restored a while back, I hadn't shot it since the restoration, shot a little to the left.
