This is the first bowl turned from the white oak haul I posted a while back. Took me a bit to get to it, but I did. Left some bark in some areas to give it a nice rustic appeal for folks who go for that sort of thing like I do. The diameter is 11 1/4" with a height of 2 1/4" and it's 1 1/2" deep. The volume measured at 6 cups up to the brim. As I usually do I sealed the wood with walnut oil and then finished it with a walnut oil/shellac mix. It was about 70% shellac. I reinforced the bark on the edges with good ol' superglue and it worked well it seems. Hopes ya likes it. :D
