Well I've had a fun day setting up and modifying my new laser! I had planned to have to realign all the mirrors and check the wattage right off the bat BUT for as chincy as it appears to be made it is was perfectly aligned and works GREAT! I had plans to do a lot of testing of different materials, cutting and engraving, on and on but then I got a call with an order for 45 cups so I switched gears and got the rotary axis set up and the pulse settings figured out for it so I could use it. It was so easy and worked so well I used it to make the two cups I had on the list to make today!

Here's a link to the picture album again - added unboxing it and a link to a YouTube video of me doing the first actual (not practice) cup. There's also a picture of my one trial piece of acrylic - a tattered US flag etched and then cut out of 2mm acrylic.

Many more adventures to come but after I get this slug of cup orders done! :-)
