Hope everyone has had a great week, it's a long weekend. I may cut out early today, it's supposed to be a balmy 76 here today. I've got a couple of pieces left to do on my flooring project, the quarter round to reinstall, and the bull nose on the stairs to install. Then I've got a cooling fan to install in the new media cabinet downstairs and some furniture to move around. Monday I'm hoping to pull off the pool cover, but have some repairs to do as it looks like my water level is still below the skimmer even with all the rain we've had, so I've got a return line leak somewhere. Of course much of all of this won't get done, as I'll be hanging out with the grandson a good part of the weekend.

What's everyone else got going?

I get to go back to work this weekend. Its been fun but like Grandma always said, "All good things come to an end." Good this I like my job. Today a little more work on my shop project. Maybe even some pictures! Then wait for glue to dry. With a little luck, I'll get some finish on it before the weekend is over. Monday, HF has a 25% off coupon. I need a regulator and filter for an old air compressor I am refurbing. It will be dedicated to the plasma cutter.

Made a quick run to the market this morning to get chicken breasts to put in the smoker Saturday. I'll brine them overnight, then give them 3-4 hours in my electric smoker with some apple chips.

Right now, I'm in my shop doing some sanding on my daughter's diploma frame. I'm re-doing the curly maple veneer because I sanded it a little too severely. I'll over lay another layer that should fix it.

Saturday will be shop time on the frame and cutting some mdf for the routing guide for my slab. I'll also do a little stuff on my 3d printer and maybe even a thing or two on my cnc.

Sunday? What else? Indy 500. Coke 600. Cross-eyed from watching all of it???

Back home from a long road trip to find the garden is a mess, the lawn so tall I'll need to weed eat it before mowing.... and there are rabbits everywhere! Recovered a vintage Mantis tiller, circa 1980's, that grandma used in her garden from my daughter's garden shed. Hope there are parts still available. It would be great to get it running again.

Not much planned this weekend! Finished cutting out the parts for a custom gas tank that a customer ordered so a little welding and fab on that. Maybe a little more shop cleaning as that's a never ending task for me! I'm hoping that this is the last Friday without a laser here...

My laser is off the pacific coast and I am on the east coast - so it will be a while to go yet.

I should have a functional but not completed mini cabinet in my CNC before next week is finished.

I have the entire week off and Diane is not yet completely healed from her hip replacement - so I get lots of shop time

A lot of gardening and yard work to do also.

This weekend everything depends on the weather. Cook-Out with wild turkeys meet from the seasons hunt at my son's house on Saturday and on Sunday ride down to DC Rolling Thunder. Monday probably coming to shop and just mess around all day.

Home, they wanted to hospitalize me last night. Pneumonia, sinus infection and dropping oxy levels in blood. Two shots (in the butt not orally!) breathing treatment and Lou's driving, I got home to bed. Kind of lazing around right now. Yard needs mowed badly, maybe tomorrow.

Get some rest, my FIL just went through some of that same stuff last weekend, seems to be going around.

This is not good. I remember you said you were not 100% last Saturday. I hope standing in the rain here for 10 hours did not contribute to your illness!

As for me, staying close to home. Too crazy to travel on a holiday weekend. Except Sunday, maybe. Depending on the weather I might head north a bit for a little chocolate Sunday celebration. We will see.

Working in the yard and some shop time as well. Completing a few projects I started several years ago. Lots of items on the shop build to do list, but thought it might feel good to start the new projects after clearing the slate and take care of all the holdovers.

Hundreds of wild turkeys around here and I've never tasted one :( I'm going to have to break down and shoot one of them someday or drive down to Dave's :thumb:

Some of the kids are coming over Saturday for a cookout and for a grandson's 5th birthday. Skipping church on Sunday and going for a day trip to the coast of Maine.

Weather is iffy all weekend.

Took the day and goofed off. Went and saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie and it was fun. Enjoyed it as I have all the others. Might get some severe storms starting tomorrow afternoon so I ain't got a clue for sure what's going on. Well, I do know I have one of my homemade lasagna's baking right now.

This is the annual apple blossom weekend festival here, so we'll be taking in some of the activities at a local heritage farm museum as well as the popular chicken barbecue Sunday in a nearby community.
My son and I are also planning to do a couple of simple videos on our Muskoka chair jigs and methods for a family member out west who's building some for the first time.

Started the weekend going out for coffee with a FW member and his wife. I'll keep their names to myself for now, since i'm not sure if they'd like it announced that they are out of town. I see then once or twice a year when they're in town visiting relatives, so it was great to meet up and catch up. Somehow we managed to spend two hours drinking a single cup each, lol. Afterward I picked up a gently used equipment rack I found on Craigslist for some of my guitar gear, then dropped off a pistol at the local gunsmith to have new sights installed on it. I finished off the afternoon giving the dog a bath. LOML will be pleasantly surprised when she gets home from work, and hopefully not too upset that I didn't get around to vacuuming the house. (Didn't make sense to vacuum before washing the dog, because he'll be shedding extra amounts for the next day or so.)

The rest of the weekend will be mostly spent doing chores around the house and yard, as well as some maintenance and setup work on my various guitar gear. We have an important show at one of the local casinos next weekend, so I want to make sure everything is dialed in and ready to rock. :guitar:

I'm off work for all of next week, then a week from Monday I start a new job. I'll be once again working for a government contractor in the medical records software business. This time I won't be writing user manuals. Instead, I'll be providing elevated tech support to the Indian Health Service...I'll be the guy the tech support guys call if they don't have a solution for a problem. I'll work with the developers to figure out a solution and get the information sent back to the tech support folks for their future use.

Jon, rest up and feel better soon. I'm still dealing with lingering effects from a bad respiratory infection I had a couple of months ago. I've come to the conclusion that we're all getting to old for this stuff anymore.
