A small 2x4 solar panel and a supercap would run that camera.
My weather station makes use of a non rechargeable battery, supercap and 2×4 solar panel. Its also uploading data realtime to the wireless base station. So its using fair bit of power relatively speaking.
Normally the station runs off the solar and then at night off the supercap, should sunlight have been inadequate for a period then battery will run the station, until dun returns.
Latest generation of super capacitors are really amazing in the power they can store.

Thanks Rob, I'm looking into it.
