I didn't use my bandsaw at all last year, because, as you know, my health wasn't up to much. So, today I decided to put a bandsaw blade back in it. I can't get the blade to stay on the wheels. I've been turning the adjuster for tracking, and can't seem to figure out what I'm doing.

So, if I turn the tracking adjustment so that the top of the wheel moves toward the front (i.e. toward me when I am operaating the saw, which way should the blade move on the wheel. Answer me that, and I'll try again tomorrow.

I've just spent two and a half huors trying to get this right, and I am totally ticked. I suggested to my wife that I should get a new bandsaw, but that ain't happening.

Adusting a bs can be frustrating. I use a steel straight edge and hold against the wheels (not running) to see if they are in alignment. Then I turn on an watch what happens. If the blade wanders turn the adjuster to the opposite side it is going. Easier said than done but works.
