i think i've gotten hooked on these mystery projects. this will be a good one, not sure what the wood is, and don't care. ripped the boards to width, and glued up today. more tomorrow...

got the blank sanded today. then dropped it into the cnc for engraving. not sure why that one pic was so blurry, i must have moved. then the battery went before the last pic, which would have been showing the engraving, and the holes...

with the sanding done, and the blank cut to length, it was time to hit it with boiled linseed oil. now to wait a few days for the oil to cure, and then it will be time for the shellac...
