My first time making these. First time making a checkered board design. Learned a lot. Wood is Maple, Walnut, Purpleheart, Cherry and Paudak. Mineral Oil finish. Used the crosscut sled I built a couple weeks ago and the Diablo thin kerf blade I just bought for the space for the wire to fit into. Drilled a 1/16th deep recess on all four corners on bottom and glued on rubber feet. All in all, a fun easy project.
