I have been working on a sign for my daughters new house and I finally got it finished. I think it came out fairly nice. I used some 8/4 cypress to start and they wanted a deer on the sign. I covered it with 5 coats of Epfhanes Spar Varnish. The Epifanes took a long time as it requires 24 hrs between coats. Here is a pic of the finished sign, there is a little glare at the bottom of the pic from the flash.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I forgot to say the size, it's 30 x 20 inches. I used a pantograph to do the outlines and then hand chiseled out the insides. I wanted a rustic, hand done look, instead of a smooth finish like the numbers. I did the numbers with the Rockler kit because I didn't want a delivery person to not be able to read them. I like the way the deer came out and my son-in-law was very pleased.
