Some bits of Yew that came to light whilst in sort mode for something else and a bit of Beech, afraid they are warts and all as there are numerous splits and bark inclusions but the recipient wants rustic anyway. Three cheers for CA Adhesive.

Really like the yew. The inclusions show very well. Beech don't do much for me. It's ok but I prefer more outstanding grain.

Like David, I like the yew better. Great grain patterns and color. It reminds me a lot of bodark or osage orange. Great work on all of them.

Thanks for the comments gents, some shed sessions are just about making shavings without having to use the brain too much and end up being productive, although with rogue wood like that, having to work with and around the not so good bits supplied by nature can be a bit frustrating to the flow of things.
