    Picture board?

    Hi

I wasnt sure where to ask this.

    Context:
When framing pictures. There is the picture itself, a frame and a cardboard insert that is sandwiched between the two. It is cut very cleanly at 45degrees.

    Question:
If one does not have the special guilotine they use to cut this cardboard how does one get such a clean cut.

My wife has requested that I frame a few pictures this weekend. I wonder if a router would work???

    Cheers,
    Stuart

stuart, a router will fuzz cardboard......instead build a small block to hold a single edged razorblade or an exacto blade and using the held blade and a straight edge cut your matting.....tod
