    Memorial Day

I'm killing time until I put on my uniform and go to the city square for our Memorial Day ceremonies. Never a pleasure but always solem. Crowd gets older each year and doesn't seem to get replaced with younger people. Everyone used to stand but now the city puts out folding chairs. Even hard for some of the guys to carry flags during posting. All can still salute smartly though.

    Frank,

Thank you for your service to our country !

Today, My wife and son are visiting relatives out of town, so I will be in the shop all day. I can't remember when the last time that happened.
