This is the second piece of wood that I bought a while back that was sold as cherry/maple hybrid (dunno if such a thing really exists, but it looks nice). It's about 4 1/4" wide and 2 1/4" tall. The short wide form is a new one for me. The walls are about 1/8" thick throughout.
Finished with Formby's Tung Oil mix inside and out, and buffed with tripoli and white diamond, then Renaissance Wax. The pics don't really show the action in the grain...it's really pretty stuff. LOML calls it a little jewel.
