Square Body Propane Gas Forge

OK, I finally got around to making a new, better burner..........


This burner seems to be a LOT more efficient, and the flame from it is a lot steadier and consistent.........



I also like having the shut off valve right there, much safer!

Looks nice. I didn't get to play with my forge this weekend, spent most of it milling up a jig to slot the brass for saw backs. That looks quite a bit more beefier, and most likely efficient in the forge.

I did get a touchmark recentely though, and stamped one of the knifes I made with it, I'm pretty happy how it turned out.

Very neat Alan, is that a cold stamp or do you pound it when the knife blade is hot?

When it's hot, the knife was a nice orange color when I stamped it.

You would need some type of press if it was a cold stamp, I think. Or have one heck of a hammer to back it up in something like 5160...

I figured as much, as the stamp is nice and crisp, and clear.
