What to use under a shower base?

Looking for suggestion on what to use under a fiberglass shower base. Thin set? sand mix? mortar mix? any of the above, none? I need to get this bathroom done so I can get some REAL shop time.

    Thanks, Russ

    Russ,

Check out this website. They have tons of information and are very helpful. I used them when I did our master bath.

Watched a plumber set a oversized tub in thinset. He said you never had to worry about the bottom cracking. Don't see why it wouldn't work for a shower pan too.
God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.

    Update!

The base has landed! Thin set did the trick. My plumber friend was impressed by the way it was down. He said that the base sound "Rock" solid. Thanks the help!
