    Cedar Lidded Box

Here is a cedar lidded box that I made. It turned out pretty nice. There is a first on it though. I got Cindy Drozda's DVD on Elegant Finials. So I have been practicing on elm, etc. till I thought I could do it reasonable well. So I made a finial out of bloodwood. It was did with a big Raffan Skew and a 1/4" spindle gouge. Didn't turn out to bad for a first.

The box is real nice, but the finial is smokin'! Looks like your practice definitely paid off.
