Peeking over the abyss

Liver mush? That just sounds wrong. I think I'd be eating the bark off trees before I tried something called liver mush. Now, scrambled hog brains...them's some good eats. (OK, I only ate them once, back when I was a kid, but they didn't make me hurl like I think liver mush would.)
