It's so hot.....
The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
The trees are whistling for the dogs.

The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.

Hot water now comes out of both taps.

You can make sun tea instantly.

You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.

The temperature drops below 95 F (35 C) and you feel a little chilly.

You discover that in August it only takes 2 fingers to steer your car.

You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.

You actually burn your hand opening the car door.

You break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m.

Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, 'What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?'

You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.

The potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper.

Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs

The cows are giving evaporated milk.

Yet again it seems good to live in california .. we haven't had a single 100+ day this month and only a couple last month ... This is unusual even for us weird californians!

Edit: oh, and not all of us will break off into the ocean. It'll just make it a shorter trip to the beach for me :p

That is unusual. I lived in Folsom for awhile (no, not at the prison) and it would get seriously over 100 for days............

Its 100 today in Riverside, CA but thats not too bad.

The comment about hot water coming out of both taps reminds me of when I was a kid. My Dad was stationed in Oklahoma and the water was from the big city water tower. Hot water came out of the cold tap and you turned off the water heater so the water could "cool down" enough to use.:eek::eek:

:rofl::rofl:

Yes I agree. It's the hottest day of the year here so far. 101

If you have leather seats in your car or trunk, you find yourself in the hot seat.

I hear ya Steve-O, it is one hot momma here today too! We did have some storms move thru last night, and we did get a bit of rain. But, we got some nasty thunder, lightning, and high winds with it. We didn't lose power, but some 7,000 in and around St. Louis still are without power. They are predicting 103 tomorrow, which will break the record for the date. One thing for sure...........heat like this sure keeps the mileage down on my Motorcycle.........it's just TOO hot to be on the scooter! :(

AHHHHHHHHHHH!! :) Nice to be out here in the middle of the ocean, where we hardly see much above 90-92F.

OOOPS, spoke too soon, :( Flossie is headed our way.

Aloha, Tony
