Think that you are right. Life has always shown me that cheap is not the right way to go. Going to pass on this one as I see that you can by this same saw new at the HD for $349. Not really a bargin at all considering I would have a 140 mile round trip. Tried to get some more photos out of the fellow, but he has to have his wife do it at work?????? Thanks for all of the advice and going to forget a bandsaw for a while until (which I doubt) I can afford one that I really want.

chuck, you`re doing right watching the used market the trick is to not be in a hurry and be prepared to jump when opportunity comes knockin`....murphy says if ya` spend money on something to get by a real one will rear its head shortly after while your wallet is recuperating.

Why don't you try a "want to buy" ad in the tools section of cragislist? No risk... and I suspect there are a few bandsaws out there gathering dust that could be had for a good price.

I hope that you are around. It is reported that this deal will not last long. I have an American made Delta 14" with two hp and it does more than I would expect it to. There is supposed to be a Delta $100 rebate you can apply also bring the price delivered to $521.
