Jim Shaver....????

i`m hoping he`s in a demrol induced haze about now and doesn`t even remember his name.....i too hope the surgery went well and wish jim as little pain as possible.

Be good to hear from him. Hip jobs these days are almost routine and with much less discomfort than ten or twenty years ago. Most times, it is what is called mimimally invasive and the patient is up and walking same day.

Luckily I've avoided that nescessity myself. My Grandfather, however, had his hip done about 25 years ago, then re-done about 15 years ago( the first socket had loosened in the hip). He said that despite the obvious issues with stitches etc, the Hip itself felt better immediately, the constant ache was gone that he'd had for years.

Jim,
all the best, hope your recovery is smooth and quick.
