    Mesquite NE ??

Well here is a mesquite bowl I turned. I was about half way thru hollowing the inside when wham, 2/3 of the bark flew off and hit me right in the middle of my Trend. So I burned the edge. Then as you can see it had a split from on high side to the other. I thought this one would go to the burn pile but CA came thru. Glad I had it on. Anyway it is 6" across at the widest and about 1 1/2" deep. Finished with wipe on poly.

This one is my favorite of the ones you've posted today. Looks like you got that puppy pretty thin. Very nice stuff.

Yep Travis there is nothing like turning mesquite. Walnut and Cherry are a close second but nothing beats some good mesquite.

    Thanks for the comments.

Love that mesquite, Bernie! Looks like you worked some magic to keep this one together! And I agree about the finish on this one - looks great.

    VERY nice Bernie!

I've only turned one piece of Mesquite, and it was a fun ride for sure!
