    Spalted Poplar

    6" wide and 5-1/4" tall... the collar is ebonized Walnut (scrap pile)... the wood was very dry and somewhat punky... antique oil is the finish.

    Comments/critiques/suggestions/opinions are welcomed.

    Very nice indeed, I like the way the "flaws" in the wood make it such an interesting piece.

    Looks like something you would want to hold in your hands and soak up!
